29.10.03 -- The Deutscher Fussball-Bund (DFB) and Infront have announced the renewal of Infront's contract for the marketing of Germany's national football teams until 2009. Zug, Switzerland, 29 October 2003: The Deutscher Fussball-Bund (DFB) and Infront Sports & Media have announced the renewal of Infront's contract for the marketing of Germany's national football teams. The new agreement will run from 1st July 2004 to 30th June 2009.
It includes all matches played by Germany's national teams home and away (excluding matches of the UEFA European Football Championship and the FIFA World Cup™). The agreement covers the German Men's A-team; the Women's national team and all men's junior teams such as the Under-21 and the Under-19.
At the vast majority of matches, including away matches and friendlies, Infront will once again be installing its "Space & Time" system. This is sophisticated computer-controlled rotating advertising that is used to increase the impact and consumer recall of perimeter advertising at German team matches.
Also part of the contract are all live transmitted matches in the DFB-Cup (men) as well as the final of the women's competition. Infront also handles the marketing of the DFB Nutrition Pool and two new categories have been added: Wellness/Health and Body Care.
The renewal of the marketing contract with the DFB carries forward a highly successful marketing relationship that has lasted more than 20 years, under different names. The former sports marketing agency CWL – now a part of Infront – originated the partnership with the DFB in 1981 and it continued when CWL became part of KirchSport, now renamed Infront.
