Zug, Switzerland, 27 November 2006 – Infront Sports & Media has announced two broadcast rights agreements for the upcoming FIBT events in Bobsleigh and Skeleton, covering the territories of Germany and Switzerland.

The German Pay-Television company Arena TV has acquired an exclusive package of pay-TV broadcast rights which includes all events of the FIBT World Cup and the FIBT World Championships for three seasons. The long-term agreement is effective from the start of the 2006/2007 season and runs for a period of three years through the 2008/2009 season.

 

The Swiss Broadcasting Corporation — SRG SSR idée suisse — has signed an exclusive one-year agreement for the 2006/2007 season. The contract covers all races of the Men’s and Women’s Bobsleigh and Skeleton World Championship and World Cup events exclusively on free television in Switzerland, the home country of Bobsleigh and Skeleton.

 

Infront has also announced that the German commercial free-TV broadcasters RTL, SAT.1, PRO 7 and N24 have been granted news access rights for the FIBT events of the upcoming season.

 

The Swiss-based sports marketing agency is the exclusive commercial partner of the Fédération International de Bobsleigh et de Tobogganing (FIBT), the governing body of both sports.
