Zug, Switzerland, 17 November 2004 -- Infront Sports & Media has partnered with Pannon GSM, one of Hungary's leading mobile operators, as the official sponsor for the 6th Women's European Handball Championship. Pannon GSM, the main sponsor of Hungarian handball, is owned by Telenor ASA, Norway's largest telecommunications group and is the second biggest operator in the Hungarian market.

The women's tournament takes place this year, between December 9 – 19 in Hungary, the home of the 2000 event champions.
 
Pannon GSM has acquired a comprehensive sponsorship package that includes exposure on the computer-controlled rotating advertising around the stadium (Space & Time – an Infront product), as well as identification on the centre circle, hospitality packages, use of the official event marks, incorporation of Pannon GSM in the tournament's official publications and the inclusion of Pannon GSM in the official European Handball Federation (EHF) website - www.eurohandball.com, a joint venture between EHF and Infront.
 
Pannon GSM has established itself as no.2 in the mobile market in Hungary with 2.8 million customers (Sept 04) and a market share of approximately 34 %. Mobile penetration in Hungary had reached 83% by September 2003.
