Infront brings national basketball teams of China and Germany together

Zug, Switzerland, 8 May 2007 - The Chinese National Men’s Basketball Team will play two exhibition games against the Team Germany, to take place in Germany this August. This was announced by Infront Sports & Media, the exclusive global marketing partner of the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA), and the German Basketball Federation (DBB). The announcement was made during a press conference at the Art China Gallery in Hamburg.

Infront, as part of its far-reaching role in support of the CBA, is organizing a technical support programme for the Chinese national teams, which involves a series of initiatives designed to help them prepare for the forthcoming 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing. China is a significant contender in international basketball; its men’s and women’s teams both won gold at the 2006 Doha Asian Games.

The DBB and Infront agreed on two games, in Hamburg on 17th August and in Mannheim on 19th August.

The games have been organized by Infront’s “Gateway to China” resource based in Switzerland. “Gateway China” is the premier resource for European and Chinese based clients seeking to capitalise on sports opportunities in each others' market. Infront is uniquely qualified to offer this service due to its substantial presence in both regions. It has already organized a series of contacts and technical agreements between Euroleague Basketball and the CBA and has also arranged a key match-up between Team China and the NBA’s Orlando Magic this autumn in Macao as China’s national team prepares for the Olympic Games.
