Sport:

Zug, Switzerland, 5 September 2005 - Infront Sports & Media has reached an agreement with Merkez Atv Televizyon Prodüksiyon A.S. (Atv) for the exclusive television rights and non-exclusive radio rights to all 64 matches of the 2006 FIFA World Cup™, which takes place in Germany next year.

Atv is one of the leading commercial stations in Turkey and is owned by the Ciner Group and is a new partner for the FIFA World Cup™.

2002 was the first time since 1954 that Turkey qualified for the FIFA World Cup™. It was a tremendous first appearance, as the team exceeded all expectations by reaching an impressive 3rd place in the competition – an achievement which has been reflected in heightened interest in football and competition for the rights across Turkey.

"We are very pleased to welcome Atv as a new partner for the FIFA World Cup™," said Oliver Seibert, an Executive Director of Infront. "The company is delighted with the prospect of broadcasting the event next year and will be putting considerable effort into ensuring that Turkish fans get the best out of their FIFA World Cup™ experience."

The 2006 FIFA World Cup™ kicks off on 9 June in Munich and the Final will take place in Berlin on 9 July.
