FIFA Confederations Cup 2009:
Infront Group to provide broad range of services

The FIFA Confederations Cup 2009 is taking place from 14 to 28 June in South Africa. Through its specialised subsidiary Host Broadcast Services (HBS), Infront handles the host broadcast of the event. HBS produces all 16 matches in High Definition format with up to 21 cameras to test and demonstrate several facets of the 2010 FIFA World Cup™ set-up. It also runs the International Broadcast Coordination Centre (IBCC) located at Ellis Park, Johannesburg.

In a joint-venture with Dentsu, Infront has distributed the majority of the media rights to the tournament in the Asian market and it will handle the servicing of all media rights licensees through its Broadcaster Servicing Team, which will contribute its tremendous expertise from various global sports events, including the FIFA World Cup™ and the annual IIHF World Championship.
